splel" Saturday sponsored by Gay Lea Foods. Winning the
first draw was the team comprised of Jim and Wendy Ker-
slake and Paul and Dorothy Coates. The second draw and'
over-all championship team was comprised of Bill and Audrey
Rowe and Ed and Karen Willis. Shown sweeping a rock into
• the house are Sandi and Stew Bernhardt.
Senior Panthers win

EXETER - This past weekend
.South Huron's Senior Boys hgekrt-
ball team competed in the Parkhill
Optimist Tournament.
'Although . they were defeated by
a strong .Banting team in their fust
game, they went on to take their
next two. Brett Rideout was the
- high scorer against Banking with
six points, but Basting managed to
win the game 81-31. The points for
the Panthers were shared among an
impressive eight individuals.
The following game saw the
boys paired against Clinton, which
they emerged from victorious by a
close score of 31-24. Captain Pete
McAllister played a great game,
hitting for 20.
McAllister again came through
for the Panthers in their final game,
where he scored 14 points in a nar-
row 38-37 win. They enjoyed a
successful day, coming home with
the consolation championship title.
Basketball action continues this
week.

Lucan bowers to Sun fowl

LUCAN - I've 4ets of
great bowling to tell
you about!
On Sunday et Lucan
Lanes, five bowlers
earned a place in the next round of
the Sun Bowl to be held at St.
Thomas Lanes, on April 5.
Helen Kadey +93, Louise Hayter
+82, Pat Morneau +78, Dean Pavia
+163, and Den Cunningham +140,

make op the Lucan team. Two al-
ternates, Brenda Morgan and Doug
Smith will replace anyone unable
to bowl in that round.
The Regional Round of the
Youth Challenge will be held in
Windsor on February 8. This tour-
nament is sponsored by Ontario
Hive Pin Bowlers' Association and
their Proprietors. Winners from Lu -
can's round held January 25, were
Scott Smith, Peter Gibson, and
Mark Hickson. These three bowlers
along with young people from oth-
er houses, make up three teams for
the regional round. Good luck
guys!
The Strike-lt-Rich tickets paid
off a second time around for Dan
Heywood +128 and Mikc T-wiford
+168. These two won in tourna-
ments held for S100 winners of
Strike-f:Rich tickets. Runners up
were Helen Kadey +78 and Cheryl
Leyes +128 who will bowl again in
the provincial round of this touma-

be held May 23, 1992.
January 27 was the elate for the
National Classified Bowling which
is sponsored by the Bowling Pro
prietors of Canada. In this tourna-
ment each group of . bowlers is
competing against others in the
same average category. Winners of
each of the five categories make up
a team of five to bowl March 8,
1992 in the zone final.
