GRAND BEND - Ws the final
week before Winter Carnival here
in Grand Bond, and organizers we
busy working on last minute de-
tails, so all will be ready in time.
Things are going pretty smoothly,
according to the commiuee, but a
few -mere inches -of new snow
would be welcome.
Local families should try to at-
tend some of the now %vatic:hops
set up for children this year. Sun-
day. February 9, is a day full of fun
and learning experiences, with a
morning workshop from 10 a.m. to
noon on recycling games, all about
the 3 R's - reduee, reuse, -recycle.
The Challenging Learning Needs
workshop provides an opportunity
to integrate children and exchange
experiences. Let a young expert
show you how it's done in a wheel-
chair obstacle eon - it's not as
easy as it looks - neither is painting
without hands, or catching a
ball, with one hand or your 'fingers
taped together. There are lots of
challenges-- are you game to try?
