Special guest Tammy Antaya brought information on the work of Town and Country Homemakers in the Exeter area. Programs include transportation. friendly visiting, telephone reassu- rance, meal services, home mainte- nance, homemakers services and diners clubs - many of these servic- es are accomplished through com- munity volunteers, who are dedicat- ed to helping people maintain their independence at home. Of special interest is the proposal by- the Hensel and area steering committee for a drop-in centre for seniors and other adults possible starting February 13. Everyone felt it was a nice change to have a program on a Saturday afternoon. On Monday, Queensway's volun- teer auxiliary met and discussed their agenda for the new year. In the afternoon Baking Club visited over tea and fresh . baked raisin scones. We love baking these itmes that take only 10 to 12 minutes in the oven. - The Rev. Fay Patterson led our worship service Tuesday afternoon with Doug Insley as organist. In the evening the Christiam Reformed Singers led a program in song. Fun and fitness, word games and a quiz were the order of the day on Thursday. Everyone appreciates these mind 'stimulating activities. "Crocodile Dundee"' was the movie presentation Thursday evening.
