1111vks' rookie Craig Oster has a big six -point weekend

EXETER - h was a nice way to start the new year
on the weekend.as the Exeter Mohawks won both their
Senior 'A' hockey games at the South Huron Recrea-
tion Centre.
Friday, they beat the Ingersoll B's 7-4 and on Sun-
day, they ran their undefeated record to three games
--with an 8:2 -win overate Chatham/garcons.
The weekend saw the return of several players in-
cluding rookie centre Craig Oster who had a goal and
an assist against Ingersoll and a goal and three assists
in the win over Chatham.
He missed a few games because of studies at the
University of Western Ontario where he is in law
school after a one-year professional hockey career in
England.
"1 finished -my undergraduate degree at the Universi-
ty of Manitoba, it was a tough grind," said Oster after
Sunday's game.

was accepted the year 1 went to Europe but I said I'd
put if off for a year."
Oster is now on the Southern Counties League's
highest scoring line which, after Sunday's game had

league scoring.
"You always like to see your name at the top, but
I'm Playing with two talented individuals," he said of
Scherer and Snyder.

with 53 seconds left in the middle period, Snyder got
his second. Carr was injured at the end of the period
and replaced by Dave Nagy:
In the third, Scherer went off for slashing and Greg
Payne moved up with Ostc? and Snyder where he made
a couple of nifty moves and scored his seventh of the
season.
Scherer got two more, picking up his third hat trick
of the year, to round out the scoring.
