On Christmas we are going to get
a Christmas tree and decorate it.
We will put light bulbs and a tiny
Santa Claus and fake snow on it. It
will be beautiful.

Garfield's Christmas
Krista Hodgins
Grade 6
Biddulph Central
On the night of Christmas Eve
Garfield and Nermal were hiding
away in their stockings so red. Ner-
mal had fallen asleep. But Garfield
was still awake. All of a sudden
Garfield heard footsteps and
hooves upon the roof. Santa was in
such a rush that he made a great big
thump that almost woke up Nermal.
Then Garfield jumped out and
landed on something furry. It was
Santa's beard and Garfield got
caught in it. All Santa did was
laugh. That woke up Nermal.
Then all of a sudden Garfield
went flying. It was Nermal. Finally
Garfield got up off the ground and
Nermal was playing around with
Santa. So Garfield went and started
to play with Nermal and Santa.
Santa stopped an hour later, stood
up and commenced to fill the stock-
ings.
When he was finished he turned
around and threw a candy cane
shaped as a fish at Garfield and
Nermal and said, "Have a Merry
Christmas and a Happy New Year,
to all and to all a good night!”
He touched his nose and disap-
peared up the chimney. Then Gar-
field and Nermal looked at each
other and slipped into bed and in
the morning they asked themselves,
"Was it real?" In the end they still
never found out.

Dear Santa:
This year I hope that it is a won-
derful Christmas. So far we've been
shopping for presents. I have sent
my list of wonderful things. I've got
my Christmas tree up already. I
think we're in to Christmas this
year. By the way, we will leave
milk and cookies this year.
Yours truly,

Christmas Day
Jason Neil
Grade 6
Stephen Central P.S.
Jesus was born
On Christmas day,
They laid him in
The soft, yellow hay.
The star the Magi
Saw that day,
Led them so very
Far away.
Why do we
Celebrate this today?
Because Christ was born
On Christmas Day!
Christmas
Christine Pertschy
Grade 6
Stephen Central P.S.
Christmas isn't about cookies and
rice,
It's about the birth of Christ.
Shepherds came after they'd been
told,
Three wise men came, brave and
bold.
In the sky there was a star,
That they followed from afar.
They worshipped baby Jesus dear,
Throughout the world from far and
near.

What Christmas is About
By Chantel.Gelidas
Precious Blood, Grade 5
What is Christmas about to you?
Is it about presents and Santa
Claus
I don't think Christmas is about
that because Christ comes to the
earth to save us. 1 am very thankful
for that.
Oh Christmas Tree
"On! Christmas tree you stand so
tall,
You stand so tall for me.
Your branches green filled with
pretty balls
I'm always glad to see.
A Christmas Story
By Geoffrey Duckworth
Precious Blood, Grade 1
Once upon a time there was a
reindeer named Rudolph. He was
scared to pull the sled so high in the
air. But St. Nick said, "Don't be
scared. There's nothing to be scared
of."
The Special
Christmas
By Tiffany Sedlak
Precious Blood, Grade 2
On Christmas we have someone
special. He's a baby boy named Je-
sus. One day Mary saw an angel.
She said, "Mary, you will have a
baby boy. His name is Jesus. He
will be a King."

The True Meaning of
Christmas
By Michael Regier
St. Boniface School
The real meaning of Christmas is
to remember when Mary was about
to have Jesus. And they went to a
hotel but all the room's were filled
up. The person who owned the ho-
tel said there was a stable down the
road. Mary had Jesus in the stable
and the wisemen gave Jesus
presents and that's why we get
present on Christmas day.
