On a gingerbread house there are gum drops, icing, candy canes, gingerbread for the walls and roof. A ginger bread house looks good and it tastes yummy too. You have to be careful when you put the roof on - it might fall in. It's nice to put up for a decoration. I'd eat it. In grade one, we made some in groups. At the Christmas concert we ate it it was great. I really liked it. Stephanie Coeck Grade 7 Mount Carmel By Joey Hay Hensall P.S., Grade 3 Once upon a time there was a tree who wanted to run away because there were bad Ninjas who hid in the forest. The reason why they hid in the forest was so they could practise their moves on the trees. They threw knives and swords and Ninja stars. The Ninjas were punch- ing and kicking on the trees. At night the tree who wanted to run away made a wish on his star. He wished that he could grow legs. It took three hours to work. Just then one of the Ninjas woke up. the tree ran away from the Ninja's and lived happily every after. By Kendra Mudge Hensall P.S., Grade 2 Once upon a time there lived a Christmas tree. When the children got home from school their mom said "will you help me decorate the Christmas tree?". But the little Christmas tree didn't like the sound of it so that night when everybody was asleep she ran away to a poor house. She was going to stay out until the people got out of bed. The next morning when the poor chil- dren got out of bed they could hard- ly believe their eyes. They went and told their mom and dad and their dad took it in and they all dec- orated it. And everyone had a Mer- ry Christmas. By Josh Knip Hensall P.S., Grade 2 Once upon a time the turtles wanted to have a fun Christmas. Leonardo went out and cut down a tree and of course got a large pizza for them. He brought it home. Splinter said, "Always eating piz- za." "Hay" said Michelangelo "It's part of Christmas. Start decorating, said Leonardo. "I didn't cut down this tree for nothing." "O.K.! It is Slash and Rat King at the shoe store. Let's go fight. What a fight. Hey the tree's gone. I know where it is, at the orchard. You're right. It is at the Orchard Leonardo. Once a mouse sat by the fireplace all 10 days till Christmas Eve. He thought to himself, what he would get for Christmas. From Santa Mouse that night. He got tired and went to bed. When he woke up the next morning, he saw some presents under the tree for him. He was surprised to see them. He opened one of them and it was cheese. It was cheddar cheese, his favourite.
