One day before Christmas Santa
was sleeping..."Bringgggg!" The
alarm clock went off. Santa woke
up... Ahhh. I feet hoe Oh my good-
ness! I must be sick." "Oh my dear
Santa, honey," said Mrs. Claus.
"But what about Christmas?" Santa
said. "Ah, I'll take care of that. Yes.
Katie next door will have an idea."
She called 235-2865. "Bringgg."
"Hello," said Katie. "Ah, hello Ka-
tie," said Mrs. Claus. "Yes, do you
have an idea who could be Santa
Claus?" asked Mrs. Claus. "Yes,"
Katie said. "Who?" asked Mrs.
Claus. "Rudolph," said Katie, "OK.
If you say so. Bye." said Mrs.
Claus. And he did a good job! If
anyone should be home for Christ-
mas...Santa should.
Christmas Eve

The lights are out
Snow on the ground,
The wind is twirling
Around and around.
I hear footsteps on the roof,
It might have been a hoof,
I spring out of bed,
But bump my head,
I wake at around 8:00
I rush downstairs....
STOP
I realize something
Its not what you gdt,
Its what you give
And I have to do so yet!
2,000,000 Presents
Ashley Dickey
Grade 2
Exeter P.S.
On Christmas Day Ashley and
Amberly woke up. Ashley and Am-
berly got 2,000,000 presents each.
Ashley got two of everything. And
at her grandma's house, she got 250
presents. Her mom said, "Ashley,
why don't you give some to Joshua
and Calem?" Ashley said, "They
are girls presents!" Her grandma
said, "Let her be and let us all go
Christmas carolling." Joshua
agreed. So did Calem, but Ashley
didn't. Her family suggested that
she take some of the presents to the
goodwill. On the way Ashley
thought she could maybe go past an
old scary farmhouse.... What do
you think will happen next?
Warm thanks

One day Rudolph wasn't feeling
good. So Santa Claus gave him
some medicine. But Rudolph said: I
want a drink. So Santa gave Ru-
dolph a drink. The next day Ru-
dolph was feeling a little bit better.
Rudolph said: I feel better." Santa
was glad because tomorrow was
Christmas. That night it was very
foggy. Santa needed Rudolph.

The Real Meaning of
Christmas

A long time ago there was a man
named Joseph and a woman named
Mary. They loved each other and
conceived.
An angel appeared to Joseph in a
dream and told him that his wife
Mary was going to have a baby and
they are to call him Jesus. He told
him that this child would be King
of Kings and Christ our Lord.
The angel also appeared to Mary
and told her that she was going to
have a baby boy. And that they
were to call him Jesus for he will

be a King.
It wasn't long before Mary was
ready to have the baby. They went
to the inn, but it was too full so the
innkeeper told them that they could
use the stable.
In the morning Mary had given
birth to a beautiful baby boy,
named Jesus. People from every-
where came to see this baby Christ
Jesus wrapped in swaddling clothes
and lying in a manger. Shepherds
left their flock to see this King.
Wisemen came from afar to see this
'child. They also brought gifts like
gold, frankincense and myrrh. He
grew up very fast and today is heal-
ing the sick and answering prayers.
I think that is the real meaning of
Christmas:

Santa's Problem

One day on Christmas Santa got
caught in a toy machine. The oil
came out of the machine. Some
touched Santa and he shrunk. Some
touched the elves. They grew but
one elf did not touch its He grabbed
a bat and swung at the machine like
lightning. He wanted Santa out of
the machine right away! He swung
harder and harder and ltltrd'. He
broke the machine, but he still
couldn't find Santa in all the junk of
the machine.
The elves couldn't find him ei-
ther. There were pipes that went
through the machine and through
the floor. Santa had fallen down the
pipe. There was only one thing to
do - call the newspaper and the fire
department. The elf cried on the
phone, "Help! Help!"
How was Santa rescued? The fire
department sucked Santa out of the
pipe with a plunger. The helper elf
washed the oil off Santa and the
other elves and they returned to
their normal size. At the end of the
day Christmas was saved.
