(helped by their parents) during the

Club, to be make up into Christmas
baskets for needy families in our
area. Donations can still be dropped
off at Father Beck's or at the Big -V
drugstore in Grand Bend.
The theme of Father Beck's ser-
mon was "Emmanuel, God is With
Us". Do we see that "God Is With
Us" in our lives? In our communi-
ties, churches and in others around
us? Emmanuel, Jesus Christ, is
alive among us in His Church.
The congregation was asked to
pray for Joseph Lister, who is ill in
a Florida hospital. The funeral for
Alex Irwin was scheduled for Tues-
day morning at 11 a.m. Mass, to be
buried form this parish.
Advent Vespers and Confessions
will be held on Thursday, Decem-
ber 19 at 7:15 p.m., with three
priests in attendance. Confessions
will also be heard in Grand Bend
on Saturday, December 21 from 11
a.m. until noon and on December
24 from 11 a.m. until noon. Please
take advantage of the opportunity
to receive the sacrament of recon-
ciliation before Christmas.

Dina Kelders, in charge of the cash
register tape collection, reported
that a total of over $750 was raised
from tapes turned into the LOEB-

voted to send to the Lioness for
Christmas baskets for poor families
in our community, including 12
Christmas baskets for our own pa-
rishioners, organized by Toni Van-
denberk.
On behalf of president Cathy
Vrolyk, Vanderberk thanked all the
ladies who helped cater lunch for
the Alhambra Cash Draw Dance in
November. Details were finalized
for Meals on Wheels in the month
of March for our CWL volunteers.
