At least that is what we were saying last week. Hopefully the snow wiU soon return. Meanwhile we are en- joying numerous christmas pro- grams with volunteer groups. Queensway's volunteer Auxiliary met Monday morning and reviewed the December calendar of events. Everyone is looking forward to the resident Christmas Party December 16. Tuesday, the Christian Reform singers gave a beautiful Christmas Music program. At the "Wednes- day movie hour, residents viewed some of their home videos, always a favourite activity. On Friday afternoon games and singing were appreciated by resi- dents. We continue to benefit from exercise class three mornings a week. Coming events: December 11 - 2 p.m. School children's program, Mr. Snell's class; December 12 - 7 p.m. Hensall Legion and Legion ladies Auxiliary Program; Decem- ber 13 - 2 p.m. "School "children's Program with Ms. Beattie's class; December 16 - 7 p.m. Resident christmas party with Lutheran Theatre Troupe. More than 40 relatives attended coming from Dundee, Tavistock, St. Aga- tha, Manheim and Kitchener. This is an annual event with rela- tives on Leota S iyder's side of fam- ily. Annie Zielma accompanied by Doris Jantzei, spent last weekend on a bus tour of the Festival of Lights in Niagara Falls, new York. Some of the entertainers on the Christmas program in the Conven- tion centre were Kenny Rogers, Mi- chelle Wright, Carl Baker and Con- way Twiuy. They enjoyed sight seeing and shopping, leaving Saturday and home Monday p.m. Personals Don, Sharon and Jamie Baker spent the weekend in Mount Cle- mens, Michigan with Don's sister and family, Sandra and Tony Regi- er, Chris, Heather and Jill. Euchre Six tables were in action at the Senior Citizens Christmas EXETER;... `; iketer Senior Citizens Christmas meeting was held on December 2, 1991 in the legion hall with approx. 100 in at- tendance at 6:30 p.m. A delicious turkey dinner, catered by the Le- gion ladies auxiliary was enjoyed by all. President Olga Davis con- ducted a short business meeting, followed by entertainment supplid by the executive. Included in the program were several funny skits, carol singing, Darrell and Darrell, ri dancing by Bea Bowman and rockettes, piano selections : by Wilma Davis, concluding with "the has bea's band". At the close of play, Mary Moser held the high lady position, with the low lady position going to Eve- lyn Pickering. High man for the evening was Bob Mitchell and low man was won by Maud Hoffman playing man's eta-- Lone era'—Lone hands for ladies was won by Dorothy Mitchell, and men's lone hands by Amiel Becker.
