BIue Water residents busy with activities
ZURICH - The Residents have
been "busy, busy" during the pest
week, trying to keep up with all the
activities involved with Christmas.
On Monday. some of the Resi-
dents went by bus to Huron Ridge
Acres to walk through the green-
houses to view all the lovely poin-
settias and other Christmas plants.
The children from St. Boniface
School visitied with the Residents,
each with their own buddy. While

ZURICH - A fair attendance of
Senior Diners enjoyed a delicious
chicken dinner Wednesday, De-
cember 4.
Elda Wagner was the 50/50 draw
winner.
Tammy Antaya welcomed eve-
ryone and also informed the diners
of the Christmas dinner and enter-
tainment for Wednesday, Decem-
ber 17.
A poem (Winter Snow) was giv-
en by Vera Haberer
Progressive euchre followed
high - Laura Gascho, second high -
Annie Finkbeiner, low - Harvey.
Hohner, lone hands - Gwen
McKeller.
here they enjoyed visiting with
them and helped them make a love-
ly wreath for their doors or walls.
The Ladies Auxiliary held their
annual Christmas party for the Res-
idents. The program consisted of a
poem by Cecelia Farwell entitled
"Holi-daz". Piano selections by
Kate Farwell and Stephanie Rau
were enjoyed. Old tyme music was
played by the swinging seniors.
Nelson Howe joined the group
playing the violin which added to
the enjoyment. Santa claus showed
up to present each Resident with a
gift and add to the enjoyment. Re-
freshments followed.
We regret that Mrs. Lucinda Kel-
ler is a patient in South Huron hos-
pital, Exeter.
The Thursday afternoon chapel
service was conducted by Rev.
Ephriam Gingerich accompanied
on the organ by Mrs. Grace Mar-
tin.
Father Morris of SL Peter's
church, St. Joseph, celebrated
mass for the parish.
Bingo was enjoyed on Thursday
evening.
The sympathy of residents and
staff is extended to the family of
the late Mrs. Myrtle Dietz.

Zurich new council was sworn in last Tuesday evening. In front are clerk Maureen Simmons
and reeve Bob Fishei. Behind are councillors Dwayne LaPorte, Marg Deichert, Keith Semple
and Barb Jeffrey.
