Christmas party for
Blue Water residents
ZURICH - Sunday was the residents annual fami-
ly Christmas. One of a number that has taken place
over the past years. Families change from year to
year, so we are pleased that the residents have the
opportunity to invite their families to share a Christ-
mas dinner and see what our facility has to offer
their parents.
The weather was splendid and visitors attended
from Toronto, Sarnia, Windsor, Detroit, Kingston,
Goderich, London, Hensall, Clinton, Exeter and the
surrounding areas making the guest list a record
one. This function would of course be impossible
without the help of the Auxiliary ladies, some of the
Board Members and their wives and all other volun-
teerswho helped serve in the dining rooms as well
as the kitchen.
Musicians for the afternoon were Grace Martin
and Catherine Shantz who played organ and piano
duets, Audrey Haberer with organ music 'and Idella
Gabel who altemated between the organ and piano.
Many visitors remarked on how much they enjoyed
the musical background while they visited.
Get well wishes are extended to Lucinda Keller, a
patient in South Huron Hospital. Residents are busy
during the week with various activities. Shuffle-
board is a favourite past time along with different
card games and crokinole.
The Thursday afternoon chapel service was con-
ducted by Rev. Douglas Wright of Hensall United
church. Fr. Peter Hayes celebrated mass for his par-
ish. Bingo was played on Friday evening.
