The clinic is a regular event in the Nomads' year. The clinic attracted not only regular card-carrying donors, but many first- time donors as well. Adult students graduate using UWO extension centre LONDON - Among a large num- ber of adult students receiving their Bachelor's degrees from the Uni- versity of Western Ontario this fall, were four local students who have been working to complete their de- grees a course or two at a time over the past few years. Janis Dougall, Donna Miller and Sharon O'Toole all of Exeter, and Margaret Rowland of Dublin were awarded their degrees during Fri- day's ceremonies at Western. The four completed their studies by at- tending Western's extension centre at Clinton. "For adult students, university ed- ucation is a stepping stone to new ventures, the consequence of dra- matic change in their personal lives or careers," said Thomas Guins- burg, Dean of Part -Time and Con- tinuing Education. "As data on the Canadian population indicate, our society will have increasingly large numbers of older adults and provid- ing them the opportunity to use their lives productively is excep- tionally important." Saintsbury by H. Davis SAINTSBURY - St. Patrick's held a most successful dessert eu- chre and bake sale on Tuesday in the Parish Hall. Rev. Stephen Em- ery was introduced by rectors war- den Nader* Bedell and he wel- comed everyone and said Grace before all enjoyed the lovely selec- tion of desserts. Winners of the euchre were as follows: Mens lone hands, Harry Noels; Ladies lone hands, Amy Lee; Ladies high, Doris Denham; Mens high, Stewart Campbell; La- dies low, Eva McLean; Mens low, Murray Carter. Grocery box win- ners were Helen MacDonald and Louise Sutherland. The service at Holy Communion was held at 11 a.m. Sunday, Octo- ber 27 at St. Patricks. Courtney MacGillivray read the lessons. Julie Carroll was server and Margaret Carroll lay assistant. Rev. Emery spoke to the children about being responsible. Coffee and goodies followed the service in the Parish Hall. Next Sunday service of Moming Prayer will be held at 8:30 a.m. from the Book of Common Prayer with Julie Carroll reading the les- sons, Deuteronomy 6: 1-9, He- brews 7: 23-28. Shirley Dyer of Sarnia visited on =- the weekend with her daughter and son-in-law. Cheryl and Wayne Car- roll and family. St. Paul's Cathedral is the Cathe- dral Church of the Anglican Dio- cese of Huron, and as such occu- pies a position of prominence in Canada. Its choir, which has long been well-known for its musical ex- cellence, sings for the principal ser- vices at the Cathedral. In addition, it presents its owil concerts and spe- ci41 events. The choir has sung y aeEvices and concerts the Diocese, and further afield, and has often joined forces with other choirs for special joint programs. In 1981, the choir won first prize in the MacLean-Nunter National Choir Competition and broadcast nationally on television. A tour of Great Britain in the summer of 1985 afforded the choir an opportunity to explore its heri- tage and sing services in some of the beautiful Cathedrals of England and Scotland. Everyone is welcomed to Trivia Memorial Anglican Church at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday to hear this choir of children and adults. A reception for the,public will follow the concert.
