Parking undecided GRAND BEND - Overnight parking in Grand Bend appears as though it will be a problem passed on to the next council. Monday night, bylaw enforce- ment officer Keith Crawford asked council to make a decision on whether or not ovcmight parking will be allowed. "That's what the new council is going to have to decide, whether or not we want overnight parking," said councillor Dennis Snider. Reeve Bruce Woodley disagreed and said it should be taken care of immediately. Clerk -treasurer Paul Tumbull was to contact lawyer Dan Murphy for his recommendations on the on- going headache for the village. This past summer, the village had a municipally operated parking lot in which ovcmight parking was available. "We didn't see this as a perma- nent solution but we have spent money back there," said councillor Bill Uniac. Although deputy -reeve Shirley Mitchell did not agree, Uniac said having the overnight parking be- hind the Legion, did help solve a few problems. "I must have been living in a dif- ferent village over the summer," said Uniac to Mitchell's response. "I saw a definite improvement." Crawford gave the village his year-end report and in it he said a new contract would have to be ne- gotiated for his serviccs.alext sum- mer.
