Armstrong - Hanke
Dana and George were united
in marriage August 10, 1991
at Parkwood Estate, Oshawa,
Ontario. Dana is the daughter
of Bonnie and Bill Hanke, Uni-
onville. George is the son of
Vera and George (Ned) Arm-
strong, Exeter. Dana and
George reside in Oshawa.
Hayter - Mann
Vicki Lynne and David Mark
were united in marriage
Saturday, October 5, 1991
in Hensall United Church.
Rev. Doug Wright and Rev.
Stan McDonald officiated.
Vicki is the daughter of
Doug and Kathryn Mann of
Hensall and David is the
son of Bob and Gloria
Hayter of Dashwood. The
matron of honour was
Brenda Vivian, Stratford.
Bridesmaids were Nancy
Miller, Stouffville, Sheila
Brooks, Grand Bend and
Heather Moffatt, Goderich.
The best man was Tim
Mann, Boston. Ushers
were Jeff Hayter, Toronto,
John Hayter, Dashwood
and Bradley Mann, Hen -
sell. After a reception at
South Huron Recreation
Centre, Exeter the couple
honeymooned in Northern
Ontario and now reside at
London, Ontario.
Wells - Maguire
Ralph and Heather were
married September 7,
1991 in Ailsa Craig United
church. Rev. Jack McKay
officiated. Heather is the
daughter of Fred and Jean
Maguire and Ralph is the
son of Fon and Diane
Wells. Matron of honour
was Barb McAlpine, cousin
of the bride. Bridesmaids
were Beverly Wells and
Yvonne Wells. Best man
was Shawn Wells, brother
of the groom. Ushers were
Don Stuckless and Rick
Lather. Flowergirl was
Shandelle Wells, niece of
the groom. Ringbearer was
Connor Maguire, nephew of
the bride. The wedding din-
ner and reception was held
at Lucan Community Cen-
tre. After a honeymoon in
Niagara Falls, the couple is
residing in Centralia. We
would like to thank our
family and friends for shar-
ing this special day.
Glasgow - Bennett
Mr. and Mrs. James Glasgow
of Exeter, Ontario are pleased
to announce the marriage of
their son Kevin William to
Sandra Leigh, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. George Bennett of
Napier, New Zealand. The
wedding took place on April
13, 1991 at St. Paul's Pres-
byterian Church in Napier,
with Rev. Michael Coppins of-
ficiating.

Potluck dinner
held for Lucan seniors
LUCAN - The October 3 meeting
of the Lucan Seniors Sunshine and
Busy Buddies Club held in the
Scout Hall opened with a potluck
dinner and was thoroughly enjoyed
by all present.
Harry Noels said Grace. Elsie
Gibson in the absence of Gordon
Clubb was our acting president. 0
Canada was sung with Mary Kooy
at the piano. The minutes were read
and passed. Jean Miller, treasurer
reported on the monies spent and
balance on hand.
A thank you letter was read from
the Palliative Care volunteer pro-
gram and it was with regret we re-
ceived a letter of resignation from
Jim Davis. Mary Kooy reported she
had received a letter from Jackie
Wells, program co-ordinator for the
P.C.V.P. with thanks for the dona-
tion of $1659.13 from the sale of
Neil's School. Jackie especially ap-
preciated this donation since it rep-
resented the support of friends of
the Neil School Community.
Mary Davis announced the
Saintsbury Dessert Euchre to be
held Tuesday, October 22 at 1 p.m.
Greta Gibson invited everyone to
the craft and bake sale to be held
the following Saturday at 10 a.m. in
the Optimist Rooms. Chris Hall
mentioned that Geri Fashions of
London would be at the Parkview
Apts. on Saturday, October 5.
The meeting adjourned for cards
and crafts. Card winners: High,
Marion Noels, Murray Carter; Lone
hands, Marjorie Steeper, Mary
Scott (playing a man's card); Low,
Mary Davis, Charlotte Barker
(playing a man's card); Crafts,
Chris Hall.
