Treasurer Gerrie Stade read the minutes of the last meeting in the absence of Secretary Alma Genttner, who is vacationing in Newfoundland. Dues were paid for the new year. The card secretary reported sending two thinking of you, one get well, one birthday and five sympathy cards. Sacrament of Baptism at Grand Bend UC By Annie Morenz GRAND BEND - An excellent attendance was out last Sunday morning at Grand Bend United. During the Sacrament of Baptism, Sidney Faye Raithby, daughter of Scott Raithby, was welcomed to the church. Pastor Colin Stover's sermon top- ic was "Wait loss", with scripture from Mark 9:38-50 read by Hazel Broad. Special music was a solo One Day at a Time by Shirley Kay Cookson. Pastor Colin's children's story was on waiting, i.e., we wait for Christmas and for seeds to grow. An every -member visitation with- in the Grand Bend congregation will take place October 6 to 12. There will be no service at Grand Bend United on October 20, so members may attend our sister Greenway church's 116th anniver- sary.
