Women
EXETER - The Exeter United
Church Women afternoon unit met
Thursday at 2 p.m.
Laura Dickey, president, wel-
comed everyone. The purpose was
repeated followed by prayer. The
minutes were read, roll call taken
followed by reports by the treasurer
and card convener. Quilting will
begin in October.
Alma Langford reported that
each region will receive $50 to pay
speakers while the collection will
go to Mission and Service. The re-
gional will be held at Greenway on
September 16 with speaker Muriel
Coultes, president of London Con-
ference. The next meeting will be
held October 10 at Exeter Villa
when the thankoffering will be tak-
en. Laura thanked the program and
lunch committees.
Mary Neil convened the program
with the theme Listening.
A short skit was given by Jean
Murray, Audrey McRoberts and
Gladys McDonald. Barb Harrison
read listening is a gift we can give
to anyone if you will listen to me
you will know what is right and
wrong.
The meeting closed with prayer.

in Ontario can be made more respon-
sive to emerging needs.
The report considers not only disabili-
ties and disorders in children but also
the promotion of well-being and the
prevention of problems for all chil-
dren.
