"As a medical doctor...and there
were two of us on board...I can' be-
lieve Dick did it," said Dr. Peter
Englert at the reception.
"I can't think of any one event
that could have brought as much
positive reflection on the village,"
said Grand Bend councilor Bill
Uniac before he presented Kloss
and his wife Bert with a plaque and
flag from the village for their con-
tribution.
Uniac also thanked the organiz-
ers, the support crews, the donors
of food, local restaurants and busi-
nesses, the Pinery Staff and the
Coast Guard, all of which were in-
volved in helping the marathon
event.
"The list goes on," said Uniac.
"It's made the whole fundraising
for the library simpler. It's shed so
much light on it," explained Uniac.
