George- town apparently has had a long year they've only got a couple of victories but they play in a difficult league." Gillespie has got several players who can pitch. As of Monday night he was undecided on who was go- ing to hurl the opener against Georgetown. It was either going to be Jason Heywood or the lanky Dan Masse. Whoever gets the nod, the other will be the shortstop. "Jason pitched well a week ago. Danny has been up and down. If he gets his off speed pitch going hell be effective." Rounding out the probable start- ing lineup for Dashwood will be Steve Farquhar at first, Mark Gla- vin behind the place, Jamie Ranier at second, Mark Keller is the third baseman. In the outfield are Greg Agnew, Scott Parsons and Shawn Gillespie. Both Parsons and Gilles- pie will be the third starter if Dash- wood wins at least one of its two fust games. Derek Masse is a short reliever, Randy Johnson is a utility infielder, Fred Steciuk is a first baseman, Jody Masse is a catcher with Derek VanDyken and Cory Gingerich ready for duty in the outfield. If there's anything to this glo- bal warming nonsense, we are heading into another ice age. Howzat again? Well, you see, to have an ice age there must be an increase in the polar ice caps, and that means an increase in polar snow accumulation, which can only result from increased precipitation, which requires increased rate of evaporation, which can only take place with an increase in global temperature.
