THE TRUTH ABOUT
OUR PROBLEMS
WITH THE ENVIRON-
MENT IS THAT IT
ISN'T ALWAYS.
There's good money to be
made in crepe -hanging these
days. The media pay well for
articles (even if the author im-
proves on the truth from time
to time) predicting gloom and
doom in our future because of
the way we are abusing the
planet.
Maybe it's so; maybe partly
so, and maybe the beautiful
world 1 see as I look out my
window isn't in as much dan-
ger as some would have us
believe.
In particular, I reserve the
right to be cynical about the
opinions expressed on the
subject by a guy who got
caught taking fish out of sea-
son in B.C. a while back.
1 haven't read his column
since.
