Grand Bend wins mite title GRAND BEND - The Usbome Minor Softball Association wrapped up its mite division on Saturday with the championship tournament in Grand Bend. Grand Bend I beat Centralia 20-17 to win the dda and took home the Leisure Time Spens Trophy. Grand Bend II wen the consolation final as they defeated Crediton II 29-21. Earlier action saw Credtion I downing brand Bend II, 20-17 and Centralia topped Crediton II 24-19. Centralia beat Crediton 122-21 in a close game to determine who went to the final. The mite league is a transition from T -ball to atoms with the empha- sis on improvement of skills and participation.
