TORONTO - Starting this sum-
mer, drivers in Ontario should be
prepared to stop for a yellow
school bus at any time - not just
during regular whop! hours.
School btis drivers, whether they
area transporting children to and
from school or on other outings,
will use their overhead flashing red
lights and stop arms at all times of

organizes
employment
program
EXETER - For the fourth con-
secutive year, South Huron District
High School is offering a Work
Orientation Workshop, a student
employment program organized in
co-operation with Canada Employ-
ment.
W.O.W. is a summer program
oriented towards helping students
make a connection between educa-
tion and career objectives.
Besides tours to local businesses,
and several workshops designed to
cover topics such as resume writ-
ing, interviews, job hunting, and
environmental work opportunities,
the 10 participating high school
students will acquire work experi-
ence by interning for three weeks
at area businesses. Generally, the
student is given a job related to the
student's interests and to his or her
future occupational goals.
Tim Mann, organizer of this
summer's Work Orientation Work-
-_--shop, is optimistic about this year's
program, and is especially pleased
with the positive responses he has
received from area businesses.,`
or off the bus. •
This is one of the amendments to
the school bus section of the High-
way Traffic Act (HTA) which went
into effefrt July 1.
Another change to the HTA pro-
hibits a school bus driver from us-
ing the overhead flashing red lights
and stop arm within 60 metres of a
traffic light. Instead, bus drivers
who stop at a traffic light to let chil-
dren on or off the bus will instruct
