EXETER - Sometimes when
things go bad, they seem to only
get worse. The Exeter Centennials
must have that feeling, after drop-
ping Sunday's Westem Ontario
Soccer League game to Chatham
City 4-2.
Trailing 1-0 after the first half,
the Centennials picked up the
pace, tying the game midway
through the second. Keo Chansa-
mone fed Charlie Wise for his fust
of two on the day. Five minutes
later, more'h ure by Exeter paid
off when one made an-
other nice cross to Wise who
scored on a well -executed head
ball.
The Centennials then began to
control the, game and seemed well
on their. way to a win, when a
hand ball in the penalty area re-
sulted in a penalty shot. Chatham
made no mistake tying the game,
and the goal seemed to give them
new lilt,
The visitors regained the lead
only moments later on another bad
bounce, when a rebound in front
of the Exeter goal was knocked in
by a Centennials defender. Chat-
ham a late goal to seal the victory.
The next game for the Centenni-
als wigs be an Ontario Cup garde,
when they host Portuguese United
on Monday. July 1 at 5 p.m. .

BLUES
Had 'em in the early eight-
ies, too. You see, with a little
push from the media, and a
ttle shove from the
economists, we can talk our-
selves into a recession any
time we feel like it.
But what the heck, the way I
see it, if 1 can't make it here,
in the hest part of the hest
country in the world, I've got
a bigger problem.
Besides, it could be worse.
At least the people that don't
intend to pay are still buyin'.
