Pond to jungle camp
June 8 and 9 at Wildwood Con-

Camp was held. This camp gives
the new chums a chance to see
what cubs is all about. Attending
from Grand Bend were Judi de-
Lange, Nancy Stokkermans and
Jerry Vanbruaene. New chums at -
lies. A special thank you to the
kitchen staff, auxiliary members,
board members, their wives and
other volunteers.
Providing entertainment, were
Joyce Pepper and Bill Gibson with
piano and organ music, Audrey
Harberer who played the organ and

help muffle the many voices of the
visitors.

cilia Farwell. Proceeds will go to-
wards the work of the auxiliary.

staff is extended to the family of
the late Clayton Pfile.
Magdeline Jantzi is still a patient
in South Huron Hospital, Exeter.
Our annual meeting was held
which saw Robert Westlake retire
as Board Chairman. He represented
St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Zu-
rich, and was replaced by Phil Erb,
to serve on the Board of Directors
and represent St. Peter's Church.
Arthur Bennett, representing Gosh-
en United. Church, is the new
Chairman of the Board.
The students from the grade 5 St.
Boniface school who were in-
volved with the buddy system
with residents, took part in a bar-
beque with their buddies here on
Thursday. These children will be
missed by the residents over the
summer vacation period.

GRAND BEND - The 1st Grand
Bend Beavers and Cubs ended their

The beavers theme was "Canada,

that province. Grand Bend chose
Alberta and our activity was the
Grand Bend Stampede, with the
boys riding stick ponies through an
obstacle course.
The Cubs theme was "Back to the
Basics", which involved learning
about campfires, and proper han-
