"HOW SAFE IS A
WEED CONTROL APPLICATION"
Weed control products used on lawns are rated as 'slightly toxic' and
'Practically non-toxic'. Other products that fall into these categories are
deodorant, suntan lotion, shampoo, modelling clay, baby lotion, lend hand
lotion. The products used by Weed Man are less toxic than common table
salt and four times Tess toxic than aspirin. Contrary to some common beliefs,
these materials do not travel or leach into the soil or groundwater, but rather
are biodegraded in the sod and thatch layer in approximately two weeks.
These facts do not however, mean that lawn herbicides should be used with-
out caution. They are most safely applied by professionals who have been
trained in proper handing, equipment calibration and storage methods. This
is a continuous program at Weed man.
