Presbyterial campsite experience

Church women gathered at Camp
Menesetung near Goderich, Mon-
day, for theire Day.nnual Campsite Ex -
The theme was "A Woman and
her World" and divided into five
parts The program was planned
by the Stewardship Committee of
Huron -Perth Presbyterial, consist-
ing of Leona Morley, Exeter; su-
san Howson, >Wlyth; and Beth
Tubb of Mitchell.
The opening, "A woman and her
friends" allowed participants to
register while renewing old friend-
ships. This was followed by "A
woman rejoices" in which singing
was led by Grace Pym, accompa-
nied on the piano by Marjorie
Johns. Reverend Kathy Urbasic-
Hindley, director of the camp,
welcomed those present on behalf
of the camp board of directors.
The speaker for "A woman and
her children" was Barb Hicks of
Clinton. She cautioned to be care-
ful what you do and say to your

EXETER - The Women's Minis-
tries from the Exeter Pentecostal
Tabernacle was held at the home of
Ruth McLaren at 2 p.m. Thursday.
Jean Triebner presided over the
meeting and led in the hymns Beu-
lah land and Come and Dine.
Ada Triebner accompanied on
the piano.
Prayer was given by Edith Millar
and the business was then translat-
ed.

Ada Triebner read an article con-
cerning the Rev. and Mrs. W. Hills -
den, former adopted Missionaries
to Israel.
It was decided to send money
from a literature fund, and also a
feeding program.
The special was in the former of
a bible quiz by Shirley Prouty.
The message of the afternoon
was by Shirley Luther. Her topic
was oh International . Prayers, with
some bible verses.

growing up years to a butterfly's
struggle to emerge from its cocoon.
Children need that kind of struggle
to make them strong. The greatest
sermon is the way we live.
"A woman exploring" included
an activity taken by Susan Howson.
Groups walked on a tour of the
camp to answer a scavenger hunt
questionnaire. Reverend Cheryl
Ann Stadelbauer-Sampa conducted
Bible study as a small discussion
group. North Perth UCW extended
thanks for the day's nourishment re-
ceived for body and soul.
The final phase, "A woman and
worship" was conducted by Leona
Morley and Susan Howson at the
Vesper Point of Camp Menesetung.
UCW women were reminded of
the UCW London conference sum-
mer event at Siloam United Church
in London, July 20, when author
Joan Little will speak on a "Cele-
bration of Gifts".
The Huron -Perth executive meet-
ing will be held at Ontario Street
United Church in Clinton, Septem-
ber 9.

EXETER - Laura Dickey, presi-
dent of the afternoon unit of the Ex-
eter United Church Women was
chairlady for the June meeting.
She welcomed everyone and read
a poem. The minutes were read and
collection taken.
Mary Neil announced the one -
day session at Siloam United
Church on July 20 with registration
$18.
The program was in the form of
an auction sale with Marion Dear-
ing as auctioneer. A great many
items were sold including baked
goods and many crafts.
