work of Child Find, including
speaking engagements, Kidchecks
(identification program), informa-
tion booth displays, distribution of
posters of missing children, fund-
raising activities, etc.
Local businesses can play a large
role in establishing a chapter not
only by providing office space,
furniture, and funding for literature
and programs, but by requesting
speakers and Kidcheck program for
their staff.
A local Exeter resident, Carol
Darling, has expressed an interest
in developing a chapter for Huron
County. Working with the police
department, Carol is currently ac-
cepting volunteer applications for
her area. For information on how
to become a volunteer, call at 235-
1043, or the Child Find provincial
office at 1-800-387-7962.
