Musical series - One of the highlights of the Toddler's Inn Nursery School musicalweek was when this
trio attended Thursday aftemoon's session, providing some music that got the students to their feet

South Huron competes
in Kiwanis Festival
EXETER - In the previous two
weeks, South Huron District High
School's Concert Band and Concert
Choir competed in the London Ki-
wanis Music Festival
The Concert Band, under the di-
rection of Robert Robilliard, placed
third in the "C" Class with a mark
of 85.
The Concert Choir, under the di-
rection of Ruth Hardy Claessens,
competed in a SAB Mixed Choir
Class and a SSA Ladies' Choir
Class. Both choirs returned home
with second place certificates and
marks of 87 1/2 and 89 respective-
ly.
On Wednesday, May I, 1991 at
7:30 p.m., the South Huron District
Music Department will be present-
ing their Spring Concert in the
Large Gym. Tickets are $3.00 in
advance and $5.00 at the door.
This concert marks the first per-
formance for the Exeter and Area
Community Band. Also, the choirs
and other bands from the school
will be featured in what should be
an excellent evening of entertain-
ment.

New officers for Kippen East
KIPPEN - Kippen East W.I. held
their annual meeting on last Tues-
day, at the home of Dorothy Bell
with 13 members present, who an-
swered the roll call by wearing
their favourite colour and explain-
ing why it was their choice.
President Grace Drummond
thanked the members for their sup-
port and co-operation ova the past
year.

ered we couldn't write and do any-

The Fourth Sunday of Easter
Church Service was conducted by
Rev. Sheila Macgregor. The Sea-
sonal Colour is White. The congre-
gation sang Saviour Teach Me Day
by Day and the guest preacher
Rev. Andrew Bmdjar gave the chil-
dren's message Everyday Is Friday
or Beggar's Day. Rev. Bmdjar read
the scripture Matthew 25:31-46 and
the title of his sermon was entitled
People Healing People.
HENSALL - Geri Fashions visit-
ed Queensway on Friday and many
talented volunteers and residents
modeled the beautiful spring fash-
ions. the fashion show is always the
high point of the day when Geri
Fashions comes. Lucky draw win-
ners were: Edison Forrest, Cardi-
gan; Lillian Smith, jewellery; Mar-
garet Fremlin and r Jessie
Armstrong, stockings.
Hensall Presbyterian ladies again
provided supervision and pnzes
Monday afternoon at Bingo.
Tuesday's Church service was led
by Rev. Wright, with Deb Wood as
pianist.
Wednesday evening Gail and
Larry Mason and their Fellowship
Singers ministered in song to an at-
tentive audience.
Sunday afternoon the Lakeview
Singers performed throughout
Queensway with many beautiful
gospel songs. We certainly appre-
ciate their visits every other month.

Rev. Bmdjar graduated from
Eastern Pentecostal Bible College,
Peterborough in 1955. Following
his years in the pastorate, Brndjar
served the Canadian Bible Society
as District Secretary for 23 years.
While his wife served the Bible So-
ciety for over five years as secre-
tary -bookkeeper. On July 8, 1985,
Brndjar }VprI4 Vision Can-
da's �tWe fol Southwest-
ern Ontario. He has been privileged
to speak in some 1300 churches.
