el and Wingham bowlers start at 2

outs to lead the locals to the con-
solation 'B' championship here at a
tournament on the weekend.
In the final game against host
Mildmay, J.J. Hem sparked the of-
fence with a pair of goals while
Ryan Fulton had a goal and an as-
sist. Rob McIntosh had two assists
while Mau Szabo and Brad Tie -
man also helped out on the goals.
The Crunchers advanced to the
final after beating Exeter Bells by
a similar 3-0 count. Szabo had a
pair of tallies with the other from
Fulton. Mark Parsons and Justin
Miners assisted.
Exeter opened the tournament on
Friday with a 7-2 loss to the Hano-
ver Hawks. Parsons scored both
goals with Fulton and Szabo assist-
ing.

EXETER - The South Huron
Panther's junior boys soccer team
opened their season on Wednes-
day with an exhibition game at
home against Mitchell. -:
The locals trailed 3-0 early into
the game but came back in the sec-
ond half to make things close, be-
fore eventually losing 4-3.
Sivichay Sengkhounmany
scored two goals and Dan Martens
added the third on a brilliant solo
effort that saw him carry the ball
from centre beating six Mitchell
defenders.
The juniors will begin their reg-
ular season at home today at 2
p.m. when they face St. Marys.
Badminton: The South Huron
Panthers senior badminton team
came home victorious once again
after placing first Saturday in a
tournament at London's Clarke
Road Secondary School.
The locals proudly took the
championship title over 21 other
schools.
In singles' action, Chris Gardner
placed third and Becky Morgan
ended her day with a silver medal.
The team of Deb Regier and Ian
Verbeek continue to dominate their
matches and they won the mixed
doubles' division.
Jason Schilbe and Jason Coolman
and the duo of Carrie Oke and Ker-
ry Manders did well and helped
South Huron to the ovbrall title.
