Optimist Dance
It was brought to my attention
that when the Optimist Club have
a youth dance the music is not
supplied free of charge as I stated
earlier. In fact, they actually re-
ceive half of whatever is made at
the door.
Optimist Club
Members of the Optimist Club
are raising some money by taking
orders for cookies and tupperware.
If you would like to order phone
Chris Little Child at 236-7144.
Operetta
The operetta performed by grade
seven and eight students at St. Bon-
iface on Wednesday was a swing-
ing success. The entire cast is to be
commended as are Patti Welsh,
Mike Masotti, Theresa Van Raay,
Mozart Gelinas, Colleen Murphy
and Wanda Regier for their contri-
butions.
Voice of Leo
The Zurich Lions Club held their
meeting recently. It was reported
that $11,392.04 was collected for
the CMB while Louis Witten re-
ported that he has received $470
from the Easter Seals campaign.
Householder Easter Seals enve-
lopes will soon be in the mail.
The Zurich club are invited to the
third zone meeting held in Exeter
on March 27. The next meeting
will be March 18 at 7 p.rn.
World Day of Prayer
Friday's World Day of Prayer
was also successful as a large
crowd turned out at St. Boniface
from various community churches.
Father Peter Hayes was the speak-
er.
Senior Diners Meet
Due to illness, and vacationing
seniors, attendance was lighter on
Wednesday. Tammy Antaya wel-
comed everyone and read two
poems. Meda O'Brien gave a read-
ing on friendship. The penny sale
was successful and Reta Thiel won
the door prize.
