noon as the Huron Park Pacers
won their opening provincial
playoff game against the Sarnia
Star Fires in the ladies hockey
league.

mines what team will represent the
region in the Ontario women's
Senior "W finals.
Sunday, Huron Park opened the
first period when Yvonne Wells
teamed with Sherry Pickering and
Sue Hatch. The Pacers upped the
count to 2-0 in the middle frame as
McGee got her first from Welts and
Hatch.
At the 5:09 point of the third
McGee connected from Linda Ma-
hood and Diane McQuaig. Sarnia
got on the board with three minutes
left in the game.
Game two of the series goes Sat-
urday at 9:30 p.m. In league play
Saturday, the Pacers lost 2-1 to Al-
vinston. Wells teamed with Tammy
Mathers for the lone goal.

finish at 6-4
EXETER - After starting the
season with back-to-back losses,
the South Huron Panthers re-
bounded to finish third in the Hu-
ron -Perth high school hockey
standings.
The Panthers began with a 4-2
Loss to Stratford St. Mike's Warri-
ors in November but on Wednes-
day beat the same team 3-2 to end
their 10 -game regular season
schedule with a 6-4 record.
Monday the Panthers travelled
to Godench to meet the Vikings in
the opening game ,of their best -of -
three playoff series and yesterday
the Vikings visitied the South Hu-
ron Recreation Centre.
Following a scoreless first peri-
od at the South Huron Recreation
Centre, David Schwindt teamed
with Jamie Ramer. But D.J. Deline
tied the score.
With 2:59, left in the second
frame, Paul Dickers put the Pan-
thers ahead on a goal set up by Ja-
mie Cornish. A little over a minute
later Todd McCann gave the home
team a two -goal cushion as Ramer

South Huron had a couple of
powerplays in the third but couldn't
convert. The game got a little out of
hand in the closing minutes as a
scuffle broke out in front of the St.
Mike's net.
Volleyball: The gyms at South
Huron high school were busy last
Tuesday afternoon as the Panthers
girls' volleyball teams played host
to the Central Huron (Clinton) Red -
men and the Mitchell Blue Devils.
In senior action, the Panthers lost
the first game 4-15 to the Redmen
but bounced back and won 15-5,
15-6. The seniors then beat Mitch-
ell 15-9, 15-4 and lost 11-15.
On the junior side, South Huron
won three straight 15-12, 15-5 and
15.11 and then took on the Devils
and won 15-7, 15-6 before coming
up'short 13-15.
PHYSICAL GROWTH
Through indoor and outdoor experiences,

co-ordination. The child also begins to gain

SENIOR KINtERGARTEN continues to provide a positive
learning environment which nurtures the self-esteem of children in a -
child -centered setting. The development of the child as %whole person
continues to be fostered. Through the learning centres, group activities and
a variety of integrated learning experiences, children will manipulate and
experience their world.

REGISTRATION FOR SEPTEMBER 1991
Children who were born in 1987 are eligible for Junior Kindergarten.
Children who were born in 1986 are eligible for Senior Kindergarten.
Children who attended Junior Kindergarten during the 1990-91 school year do not
need to register at this time.
Parents or guardians who plan to register,a child should contact the nearest public elementary
school as soon as possible.
