The chanes, which take effect March 4, will also ensure that the province's Electrical Safety Code is consistent with the Ontario Build- ing Code and with electrical codes in other provinces. Several amendments to the Elec- trical Safety Code concerning the private power industry are designed to help meet Ontario Hydro's ener- gy conservation and efficiency goals. Amendments to the code will also allow the installation of 'Smart House' technology as it be- comes available.
