Klopp announces over$150,000 annualgrant Phoenix EXETER- project Huron MPP Paul Klopp recently announced a grant of $156,250 to be allotted annually to the Phoenix Stage Two Housing of Huron County. The funds will be used to provide second stage long-term accommo- dation and support services for women and their children who are family violence victims in Huron County. Second stage housing is accom- modation for women who have sus- tained domestic abuse and have de- cided not to return to their partners. The women and their children then often require safe shelter for a long- er term until they are able to locate in their own residence. The housing project will house abuse victims for six to 12 months, as well as provide counselling, housing referrals, and assistance with budgeting and life skills train- ing.
