Black Tower Provin-
cial 5 Pin Team Tour-
nament league rounds
arc now in full swing in Bluewater
5 Pin Bowlers Association centres
and will continue until February
17.
Under the Black Tower format,
the teams that bowl most pins over
their team average, over the five
weeks, will advance to the Black
Tower house round March 3-17.
The house round winning team
will then advance to the Black
Tower regional finals April 21 in
an Ontario 5 Pin Bowlers Associa-
tion (O.F.P.B.A.) designated cen-
tre. The Black Tower Provincial
Championships are set -for May 25,
also in a O.F.P.B.A. centre to be
announced shortly.

bowlers to qualify by bowling the
highest scratch triple score in their
own average level.
Winners of each of the five dif-
ferent average levels will then form
teams to advance to the Blue Light
three game zone rolloffs. Goderich
Little Bowlers Association and Zu-
rich Town and Country Associa-
tion bowlers are entered in both
tournaments.
One of the rules contained in the
Canadian 5 Pin Bowlers Associa-
tion (C.F.P.B.A.) rule book that
many are not familiar with covers
bowlers in corresponding positions
in team lineups.
Rule 27A states "When any ques-
tion arises as to who of any two
bowlers bearing corresponding po-
sitions in the line-up of opposing
teams, shall bowl first, it shall be
incumbent upon the bowler on the
