seniors' groups
LUCAN - The Sunshine and
Busy buddies clubs of Lucan sen-
iors held their meeting on January
10.
The group was visited by Herold
Talbot this week.
The committee for next week to
make coffee and. brim entertain-
ment will be Kay Lankin and Alice
Hodgson.
Dean Gibson suggested inviting
the Ailsa craig seniors to visit and
play euchre on January 24 at 1 p.m.

This week the group played eu-
chre and made crafts.
Next week there will be bingo for
everyone. haven't
The seniors' groups
played shuffleboard over the holi-
day season, but games will resume
at 1 p.m. in the Scout Hall on Mon-
day. Any seniors in or around Lu -
can is welcome to join.
Harry Noels announced a meet-
ing of the Tri County Games Com-
mittee in Grand Bend next Tuesday
at 1:30 p.m.
Euchre prizes were won by Helen
MacDonald high score (women's);
Murray Carter high score (men's);
Elsie Gibson - lone hands (wov-
en); Chris Hessel - lone hands
(men's); Charlotte Barker - low
hands (women), and Harold Talbot
- men's low.

LUCAN - Several members of
the Lucca Revival Centre along
with people hum other churches
left for Haiti on Wednesday, for
missions' building and teaching

He stressed what Jesus wants peo-
ple to do is to attain these atti-

LUCAN - The Lucan seniors'
groups met on January 17.
The meeting opened with a min-
ute of silence in prayer for peace
and hope the war will be a short
one.
The group had three visitors Mr.
and Mrs. Fraser from Parkhill and
Harold Talbot.
The committee for next week will
be Charlotte Barker and Murray
Carter with Chris Hall and Harry
Noels taking care of prizes. The
group .will entertain the Ailsa Craig
seniors at 1:30 p.m. on January 24.
Hairy Noels gave a report on the
tri -county games meeting in Grand
Bend. He has the affiliation cards
to sell for this year and asks all
members to buy one and support
our games for the summer.

SAINTSBURY • - The house
church service was held at 8:30
a.m. at the home of Hugh and Ha-
zel Davis on Sunday', January 20.
Courtney MacGillivray read the
lessons and Reverend Beverly
Wheeler focussed her homily and
prayers on World Peace.
The service of Holy communion
will be held in the church at 11 a.m.
on Sunday, January 27.
Ryan Carroll will mad scripture
Jonah 3: 1-5, 10 and 1; Corinthians
7: 29-31.
Rose Cunningham will be the
server and Margaret Carroll -will be
the lay assistant.
Parish Bible study will meet this
week at the home of May Davis,
Lucan, at 1:30 p.m. on Wnesday.
Please remember the less -
fortunate and bring food items for
daily bread to church.
St. Patrick's will hold their annual
vestry meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Jan-
uary 29, at the home of Hugh and
Hazel Davis.
Congratulations to Arnold and
Rose Cunningham on the birth of
their grandson Nathan Douglas,
born Boxing day to parents Wayne
and Colleen Cunningham of Wat-
ford.
Leslie Greenlee is recuperating at
his home, following achainsaw
mishap. Best wishes to him. •
Mrs. Jim Barker visited her moth-
er Mary Davis on Friday.
