NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
VILLAGE OF LUCAN
PROGRAM FOR RENEWAL, IMPROVEMENT,
DEVELOPMENT AND ECONOMICS
REVITALIZATION
COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT PLAN
Monday, February 11, 1991
In the Council Chambers, 161 Main Street
at 7:00 p.m.
The Village of Lucan has been established as a Program for Re-
newal, Improvement, Development and Economics Revitaliza-
tion Area. PRIDE provides funds to municipalities for the revita-
lization of older areas.
The Provincial Govemment has allocated $90,000.00 under
PRIDE to be spent in the Village for improvements to municipal
services and utilities (e.g. street light replacement, replacement
of some water services) and social and recreational facil!;;as •
(e.g. baseball diamond lights, skate Ole stripping ?^;; swimming
pool repairs). The Village will match the Provincial funds with an
additional $90,000.00 which will mean that a total of
$180,000.00 will be available for improvements in the village
" over the next four calendar years.
In order to establish which projects should be carried out under
this program and the estimated cost involved, a Community Im-
provement Plan must be prepared and adopted by the Village.
Prior to the adoption of the Plan, residents of the Village are in-
vited to attend a public meeting on'Monday, February 11th,
1991 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers to review the pro-
posed Community Improvement Plan and discuss .the type of
projects which should be considered in the Plan.
The Proposed Plan will be available for review at the Village Of-
fice, 161 Main Street during normal office hours after January
2nd, 1991. Written submissions and comments on the Plan are
most welcome and should be submitted at the public meeting
or to the undersigned on or before February 4, 1991. Any
questions regarding the plan or the process outlined in this no-
tice should be addressed to the undersigned at the folloryling
address or by calling 227-4253.

have ever seen then do."
Gladys Haley:
"It's very confusing."
Ken Camp:
"Maybe it will work if they use
the money for what they're sup-
posed to, but I doubt it."
Hazel Stewart:
"I'm a little confused. Why dowe
pay GST on one cup of yogurt but
if we buy two it's GST free?"
