Bantams win
two, lose one
EXETER - The Exeter Legion
Bantams had a busy week of hock-
ey, winning twice and losing just
once.
Exeter opened the week with a
4-0 shutout win over Forest last
Wednesday night at the South Hu-
ron Rec Centre.
Matt Gardner led Exeter with a
pair of tallies, while singles went
to Mark Glavin and Steve Farqu-
har.
Glavin chipped in with a pair of
assists, while Fred Steciuk and
Mark Lynn had one each.
Richard Phillips recorded the
shutout
Excter travelled to Belmont Fri-
day, only to lose 7-6. Belmont
took advantage of several Exeter
penalties and scored four times in
the last last seven minutes to take
the win.
Pete Gibson had a pair to lead
Exeter, while single went to Gla-
vin, Gardner, Ryan. Lindenfield,
Jason Heywood.
Steciuk and Heywood each set
up a pair of goals, while single
assists were recorded by Rob
Kramer, Steve Farquhar, Gibson,
Glavin and Gardner.
Exeter travelled to Lucan Sun-
day and came away with a 4-3
win.
Exeter scored the first four goal
of the game; Glavin scored from
Farquhar and Steciuk, Kramer
from Lindenfield, Heywood from
Lindenfield and Fred Godbolt
found the net from Gibson.
Scoring for Lucan were; Jeremy
Jemcc from Nathan Brown, Paul
O'Shea from Jemec and Brian
Heckman and Shane Pearce.
McCurdy girls win - The girls championship of the recent area public school volleyball tournament was

Novice Panthers shutout Lucan 5-0

Middlesex Hockey League record
to 6-3-3 with a 5-0 win over Lucan

Exeter added two more tallies in sistcd.

Bilinsky was helped by the strong
defensive efforts from Mark
Shepley, Overholt, RyanRalph and
Dan Snell.
Tweens whip St. Marys 11-0
HENSALL - The Exeter Twccn
Ringette team had their biggest
margin of victory so far this season
Saturday when they blanked St.
Marys 11-0 at the Hensall Arena.
Jana Webster stopped everything
that was sent her way between the
pipes for Exeter and recorded the
shutout.
Exeter poured in seven goals in
the first half and added four more
in the second.
Sonya Lawrence led the scoring
attack for Exeter with four goals,
Kim Farquhar chipped in with
three, and singles went to Suzanne
Steciuk, Cara Gardner, Heather Da -
