Christmas is theMme of year
By Susan Bryan
Grade 6, Biddulph
Christmas is the time of year,
to have fun and good cheer.
Santa Claus comes to town,
in a suit and not a gown.
The little elves make the toys,
for the little girls and boys.
When I go and decorate the tree,
I'm as excited as you and me.
On the tree we put an angel on top,
then we open the cans of pop.
On the night before Christmas San-
ta goes around the world,
to deliver toys to all the, boys and
girls.
On Christmas eve we usually sing,
to our great Lord, our gracious
king.
Some songs we sing are so long,
that is why they are Christmas
songs.
We decorate the tree with Christmas
stuff,

if you don't like it,well tough.
When we go to the mall and look
around,
there is fake snow on the ground.
When we go to the shop,
I buy a book, andmaybe a top.
At the mall Santa sits in a chair,
he has a long beard and white hair.
When I buy a present and I take it
to school,
I , think it's great, fantastic, and
cool.
When I go to school the kids are so
jolly,
then we hang up those great boughs
of holly.
Don't be mad just like Scrooge.
If you doit, how could you.

Santa Claus Missed
the Roof
By Dan Maguire
Grade 5, Biddulph School
Every Christmas night Santa Claus
flew through the skygiving
presents to little children. One
Christmas Santa got ready for his
big long night giving presents.
Santa went to the first house. He
gave a nice cosy teddy bear to Tom-
my, a kid that was crippled. then
Santa went on to another house.
Soon Santa was at the last house.
He went for a landing on the roof
but he missed it. The reindeer flew
off the roof and hit and ground. The
sled went and hit a apartment build-
ing and broke. Santa fell in the
chimney and he said "I am glad
that this is my last stop!" Santa
put the presents in the house and
got a taxi and started back. While
going back they got stuck and Santa
said, "God give this car the power
to fly back to Canada and let me go
back home. And it did.

I open the presents and I tear, tear,
tear.
Santa sometimes gives my dog a
bone
It is too cold for an ice cream cone.
We hang up our stockir.gs near the
fireplace,
with green, red, and white lace.
Did you know God gave us love,
from way, way up above.
I like Santa as you do too,
you could like Scrooge too.
In some countries at Christmas it is
hot,
In our country we have Christmas
pudding out of a pot.
You know the song "Jingle Bells",
everytime I sing it the blood stays
in my cells.
La, la, la, is what I saw,
The carolers singing tra,la,la.
At Christmas we open the presents,
that is were I saw some pheasants.
At Christmas there is alot of joy,
Whoops... I just tripped over a toy.
Remember; Have a merry Christ-
mas, and a happy new year.

A Christmas Poem
By Jeff Kink
Grade 7, Zurich Pubic
There is a history of Christmas day.
The little babe lying in the hay.
Jesus heard the lamb with a silent
neigh.
That's God's son to whom we pray.
I thank the Lord for showing me the
way.
I hope that you will let us stay.
I pray oh, Lord that I will lay in the
clouds
when I pass away.
Present Enchantment
By Jessica Verhoog
Zurich Public School
At Christmas under the tree,
1 look and sec,
Boxes and bags,
Covered with tags,
One for you one for me,
I gazed at under the tree.
I rattled and shake,
Hoping it won't break,
Nervously c.hatteririg my teeth,
As they hung the mistletoe wreath.
A package just arrived,
It came from Tutie Drive,
One from Grandma,
One from Grandpa
I wonder if one is tuba?
The bells just started ringing,
Everyone in church is singing,
Our pastor is Neavel Nearmon,
I didn't think much of his sermon,
Something about Advent,
To busy thinking about present en-
chantment.
Santa coming
By Brayden Lord
Grade 1, Stephen Central
11 was Christmas eve and Santa
was coming. The Christmas tree
was up and the lights were up.
Santa was here. He put the
presents under the tree and he
filled the stocking with toys and
then he flew away. It was Christ-
mas morning the children woke up
and found the toys.
