Merry Christmas
To You
By Misty Lee Zaranik
Grade 3, Stephen Central
I wish I could be Santa Claus be-
cause I could read all the notes, that
children wrote. I would also go for
a long ride, to give all the good
children some presents. I would go
into the sled and ride to the first
housc.
And guess who pulled them so
far? I know. Dashcr, Danccr, Pranc-
er, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner,
Minn, and most famous Reindeer
of all Rudolph. Then I could take
my sack and tip toe on the roof.
Then go down into the chimney
and tip toe in the house and find the
tree, and put all those wonderful
presents under the Christmas tree.
Then I would go to lots of other
houses. Then when I was all done I
would go to my wonderful warm
house in the Norge Pole of course,
and cat a snack before I go to bed.
When I went to bed I could think
Think About It
By Collette Acres
Grade 8, Biddulph School
Home is the love and dreaming
of someone there for you,
but not for the homeless
Who have no promise
of love
But of loneliness
Think about the cold winter nights
of nowhere to sleep but along the
street
Those who have shelter and moncy
take it for granted
Think twice about the reality
of the crying, sick and the poor
"THINK ABOUT IT"
Peace is there
for thosc who have family
presents and a warm fire to s.it
around
but what about the others
uponthe streets
their or ly fire is the rage they fel
inside
This all comes out
in two words
homc and homeless
