LUCAN - On Thursday, Decem-
ber 7, the Christian Fellowship met
in the Clandeboye Room to feast
on turkey and present a Nativity
Play.
When Dorothy and Dennis arrived
with the meat, casseroles were
pulled from the oven and soon
members and guests were taking

Snow
By Tina Glavin
Grade 8, Precious Blood
Snow is a crystal like image,
that whips and twirls through the
air,
that causes frost to set in.
Snow can also put people in the
joyful spirit of Christmas
or it can also be resented.
Snow is a part of Christmas that
makes it what it is.
tables.
There were salads, jellos, rolls,
desserts and second helpings, a deli-
cious meal.
Next, people donned various cos-
tumes. The setting was Bethlehem
at the Inn and stable. An older man
was convincing a younger one, that
God had chosen this town to fulfill
a special promise. ,
The angel appeared and spoke.
The angelic chorus consisted of vis-
itors and other members of the
group, wearing white surplices.
Loys Fawcett led the chorus whose
first carol was "What Child is
This"?
As. the Old Man continued remi-
niscing, Mary, Joseph and the
Babe in the manger were there. The
shepherds appeared, also the Wise
Men. King Herod's decree was not-
ed. The angelic chorus sang several
carols. "This Little Child" sung by
Loys ended the play.
Thanks to Freeda and Ed, this
was a meaningful play.
At a quick business meeting, it
was decided to have a games night
on January 25.
Everyone knew that a gift await-
ed each person, but no one knew,
what the poem written for that per-
son, by an unknown giver would
say.
Like anxious children, the group
gathered around the gift -laden tree
and Ed, using his meticulous dic-
tion read each poem. Each person
opened the gift displayed it for the
audience to admire. The poems and
gifts make the December meeting
unqiue.
The Fellowship Group has
passed a milestone, a successful
conclusion to its first year.
