Waxers .win two more
EXETER - The Exeter Shamrock
League Waxers picked up one
league win and one exhibition vic-
tory in a pair of games recently.
On November 25, Exeter blanked
Thamesford 4-0 and beat Hensall
8-2 in a exhibition contest Sunday
afternoon.
Greg Geoffrey led the way in the
win over Thamesford by notching a
pair of goals, while Scott Gilfillan
and Scott Keys had one tally each.
Chad Dalrymple, Geoffrey and
Keys also had single assists in the
game.
Against Hensall, Exeter broke
open a 3-1 game after two periods
by scoring five times in the last

celebrates
anniversary
ZURICH - Zurich Minor Hockey
Association celebrated its 25th an-
niversary this past weekend with a -
minor hockey weekend.
October 14, 1964 was historic
night for Z.M.A. Members of the
Lions, Chamber of Commerce and
interested persons formally intro-
duced the organization, set up a
constitution and executive that
would administer and organize mi-
nor sports in Zurich. •
In honor of these citizens and the
25 years of the Association, a mi-
nor hockey weekend was held last
weekend Included in the celebra-
tion were persons from both the
'64-'65 and '89-90 executive in cer-
emonial puck droppings and the
handing. out of souvenir pucks to
the teams.
Friday. nights MC Al Scott intro-
duced the participants. The Tykes
game was handled by Bonnie
Schenk, '89 director and Karen
Grainger '89 assistant secretary.
The Atom game officially started
with Glen Weido, Director and Pee
Wee manager '64-'65 and' Janet
McKinnon, present secretary. The
Pee Wec game had George Haggitt
'64-'65 Poe Wee coach and George
Keller, '89-'90 director, doing the
honors. Saturday night, David Sie-
bert introduced '64-'65 vice-
president Herb Turkheim and cur-
rent second vice' president Barb
Jeffrey as they dropped the puck to
start the Novice game.
The Bantam Ii game was started
by Bob Merner '64-'65 Juvenile
manager and also third ZMA seven
years as secretary -treasurer and
current treasurer Nancy Brown.
"Pipper" Merner added to the
celebrations by wearing his origi-
nal '64-'65 Juvenile team jacket de-

Brian Parsons, Dave Marshall,
Geoffrey and Scott Keys all had a
pair of goals for Exeter, while Jeff
Campbell and Jim Seaton replied
for Hensall.
Dalrymple and Marshall led with
two assists each and Ben Cottrell,
Keys, Geoffrey, Scott Gilfillan and
and goaltender Cam Dougall all
had single assists for Exeter.
Campbell had the only assist for
Hensall.
..-There were no penalties called in
the game but Hensall was short-
staffed and were forced to call up
some players from their Atom
team.
