Church celebrated the Sacrament
of Holy Communion Sunday. Rev.
David Mack's sermon "The Lord's
Feast" was taken from the scrip-
ture I Corinthians II: 24-26. He ex-
plained how to prepare oneself for .
communion. First it's a Command

confirmation.
The advent candle was lit by

and John Edwards.
The U.C. Women are asking the
group conveners to have a mem-
bership count in to Mary Weber
for the Christmas supper by Fri-
day, December 8. The dinner will
be held Tuesday, December 12 at
6:30 p.m. The teens and choir
members are invited as well as the
U.C.W. spouses or a friend.
Dashwood Women Institute held
their euchre party Wednesday, No-
vember 29 at the centre with seven
tables. Winners: ladies high Mrs.

euchre party here tonight, December
6, at the Community Centre at 8
p.m.
Sandra and Tony Regier, Chris,
Heather and Jill of Mount Clemens
Michigan came over last Thursday
November 23, to spend the Ameri-
can Thanksgiving with Sandra's fa-
ther, Kcn Baker. Other family
members joining them were Don,
Sharon and Jamie Baker, Gary, Shc-
ona and Jeffrey, all of Shipka.
Last Sunday Ken Baker visited in
- Ailsa Craig at his sister's Loraine
and Roland Neil. Joining them were
a brother and sister-in-law, Earl and
Minerva Baker, of St. Thomas. The
fflitily enjoyed dinner at the Legion
Hall. in Ailsa Craig and had supper
at the Neil's home.
Michelle Vincent spent a couple
of days last week in Kingston, trav-
elling down by train.
Ferman and Leota Snyder recently
attended a Musselman family
Christmas reunion, held at Hickson
Community Centre, with 52 in at-
tendance.
Due to the very blustery winter
weather Sunday services at Green-
way Unitcd Church were with-
drawn, and less than usual alien-
dance Pf Grand Bend United.

to Laura and Oscar Miller, who
both observed their 84th birthdays
at end of November.
Sharon Morenz, of Coral
Springs, Florida, returned home last
week aftcr spending a two-week
holiday in Ontario with relatives,
friends and her son Jonathon De-
nommc.
Hugh and I visited recently with
our cousin Don Jackson, Hensall
area, also with cousins Beverley and
John Ford, at Grand Valley.
