Bears beaten by Parkhill
PARKHILL - The Exeter Midget
Bears lost for the sixth time in sev-
en games Saturday when they were
beaten 4-3 by Parkhill in Lambton
Middlesex Hockey League action.
Parkhill scored the only goal of
the opening period, with Mike Bax
going -the honors from Neil Marvo-
ka and Jason Horner.
Parkhill then built a 3-0 lead with
the only two goals of the second
session, 'with Horner netting both.
One was from Dwayne Mellina and
the other from Bax.
Mike Agnew went to work for
Exeter in the third period, scoring
three -straight goals to tie things at
3-3. Mike Clay drew the only assist
on the first goal, Floyd Riley on the
second and Derek Schwartzentru-
ber on the third. •
But Parkhill stole the game when
Bax scored with time runningg-out
from Pete Conway and Marvoka.
Mike Richardson hadto leave the
game for Exeter with a broken
hand. It was also one of Exeter's
more tamer games with only 12
minutes in penalties being called.

Legion Bantams lose to Parkhill
EXETER - .The Exeter Legion
Bantams Hockey team were beaten
8-1 by Parkhill last Wednesday
night at the South Huron Rec Cen-
tre.
Parkhill scored the only five
goals in the first period and seven
straight in the game before Exeter
finally got on the board latein the
second period.
Parkhill captain Paul Woodburn
proved.to be too much for Exeter to
handle as he tallied four times,
while Shane Robinson chipped in
with a pair and the single goal went
to James Eagleson.
Woodburn and Eagleson also had
three assists, while Craig Chalmers
hada pair.
Bullets tie Ilderton
EXETER - The Exeter Pee Wee
Bullets played Ilderton Bruins to a
3-3 deadlock in a. Lambton Mid-
dlesex Hockey League game Satur-
day afternoon.
Exeter tallied once in each peri-
od.
In the first period .it was Adam
Wallis from Scott Inson, Mark Fos-
ter from Brent Urlin in the second
and Trevor Truemner scored from
Mark Foster in the third.
Foster had one goal and an assist
and played well defeniively as
well.
Ilderton scored their second goal
from a penalty shot after an Exeter
player put his hand on the puck in
the goal crease.
The record for the Bullets stands
at4-1-2.

Hawks Bantams continued their
winning ways at Parkhill winning.

Kevin Johns opened scoring
early in the first period with only
46 seconds of play on a nice pass-
ing play from Derrick Campbell.
Exeter scored again in the sec-
ond period when Tony Armstrong
notched a goal on a passing play
from Al McFalls, and Jeremy
Brock.
Strong play by all Lincolns
made it possible for Dave Ste-
phens to complete a second shut-
out for the season.
Lincolns play again in league
pay Saturday in Belmont at 2:30
p.m.
Their record stands at four wins,
one loss and three ties for the sea-
son.
