Scott Kirton led with the Introit and the greeting and opening prayer. The prayer of Confession was re- cited by leader Scott Kirkton and readers, Heather Beierling, Heather Laurie and Mary Coultis, followed by the assurance of Pardqn. The Old Testament Lesson was read by Heather Laurie and the New Testament Lesson by Meggin Reid. "Totally Awesome Giving' was portrayed by Tony Coultis as Nar- rator, Heather Beierling as Mother, David Rathwell as Father, Ray- mond Beierling as brother Jason and Heather Laurie. as sister Sally. This play told the real meaning of White Gift. The senior girls favoured the congregation with two carols, ac- companied by Joyce Dowson on the piano. Thursday morning at Varna Church at 10 a.m. Bible Study. The lessons are on "Christian Liv- ing". Thursday evening at 5:30 the youth group meet at the manse to go bowling in Goderich from 6-7 p.m. Parents are needed to drive and the cost is approximately $5.00 per child. Sunday December 3 is the first Sunday of Advent Service. Monday December 4 the Official Board meets at Goshen Church at 8 p.m. Rev. Sam announced that the ,mystery of the bells hanging in the altar at the church would be solved at the complex on Sunday Decem- ber 17 which is the Sunday School Christmas Concert at 12 noon. Flowers were placed in the church in memory of Olive Ste- phenson and Cecil Dowson. Raymond Beierling and Tony Coultis received the offering and White Gifts were placed under the tree. Christmas party . The Stan Lee club Christmas party will be at the complex on Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. on De- cember 5. Turkey, potatoes and a pot of turnip will be provided. The rest of the meal with be pot luck. They are hoping for a good turnout and would appreciate it if every member would bring a small arti- cle for a door prize! Diana is presently self- employed elfemployed as a music teacher in Northeast London, Northwest London and in Exeter. Queensway HENSALL - Monday morning coffee hour and current events were enjoyed by several residents. The Bethel Reformed ladies assist- ed with Bingo in the aftemoon and following Bingo led a hymn sing. Fun and Fitness started everyone off right Tuesday morning as we creaked our way' through the rou- tine. Pastor Alles led our worship service in the afternoon. Residents spent Wednesday morning stretching their minds at word games. Everyone finds these games fun as well as beneficial. Thursday evening residents watched the second video in our series on Lucille Ball. Most resi- dents remember enjoying Lucy's weekly show on T.V. Geri Fashions of London set up shop in our activity room Friday. Residents, people from the com- munity alike enjoyed browsing and buying throughout the day. In the afternoon we held a Fashion Show. Thank you to Muriel Gun- ning, Mildred. Gingerich, Marg Fremlin, Lloyd McDougall, Mur- ray Howe, and Grace Dinney for modelling. Winners of the draws were Luella Hall, jewellery, Ida Dunlop, stockings and Rcta Mor- ley a cardigan. Coming events at Queensway are November 30 at 2:30 our Birthday Party with Laurene Madge and Friends, December 3, the Nursing Home Family Christ- mas Dinner. Grand Bend Scouts GRAND BEND - The Grand Bend Beavers visited the Blue Wa- ter Recycling Plant last Wednesday evening, as part of learning about their environment. They learned many positive, constructive ways each individual can undertake to improve our world's environment. Special thanks go to their guide for the tour, Francis Veilleux. There is a reminder of the De- cember 6'meeting for the parents of all Beavers and Cubs to attend, in the Legion Hall.
