action.
Mike France gave Exeter a
1-0 lead with an unassisted
goal at 4:30 of the opening
period and connected again
five minutes later, again un-
assisted making it 2-0 for the
locals.
Francc completed his hat
trick, the natural kind, at 8:05
of the second period, when he
scored on a breakaway.
Exeter forwards, Jeff Ma-
son, John Miners, Jcff Inch
and Ryan Fulton played a
goodgame keeping the puck
in Muncey's end of the rink
throughout.
Bryce Bann got his first of
two early in the third, after
taking a pass from Mike
McConnell and Gavin Poole.
He got his second later in the
period.
Munccy scored late in the
third to nein Michael
Schwindt's shutout bid.

Bawling entry deadline approaching
ZURICH - The entry deadline
for bowlers to enter the Bluewater
Five -Pin Bowlers Association
twenty game OV open zone rolloff
is November 27. Forms are availa-
ble at all bowling centres includ-
ing Town and Country in Zurich.
The first 10 teams will start at
10 a.m. Sunday, December 3 at
Wingham and Molesworth lanes.
Goderich Little Lanes will host the
final 10 games starting at 9:30
a.m. Sunday, December 10.
Advancing qualifiers will be the
top 10 men and top nine ladies
over the 20 games, who will then
represent the Bluewater Five Pin
Association in singles, mens, la-
dies and mixed teams competition
at the Ontario Five Pin Bowlers
Association OV Open champion-
ship April 11 to 14 at Hamilton.

Bantams double Lucan
EXETER - The Exeter Legion
Bantams got four goals from four
different scorers and beat Lucan 4-,
2 in their only Shamrock Hockey
League game of the week last
Wednesday night at the South Hu-
ron Rec Centre.
The home team led 2-0 at the first
intermission on an unassisted goal
by Fred Goldbolt and Matt Gardner
scored from Mark Glavin and Fred
Steciuk.
Lucan finally got on the board
five minutes into the second period
when Derek Greenlee scored from
Chad Gwalchmai,
Exeter got that back when Ste-
ciuk got one behind Lucan 'goalie
Mark Hickson from Jason Hey-
wood with just under four minutes
' left in the second.
But Lucan bounced back to with-
in a goal on Paul O'Shea's tally,
from Brad Coughlin, with less than
a minute left in the second.
Exeter regained their two -goal
advantage when Heywood scored
an unassisted goal with just over
two minutes left to play in the
game. -
Next game for Exeter will be to-
night, Wednesday, when Parkhill
will be at the SHRC at 7:45 p.m.
Flyers lose 5-3
PARKHILL - The Exeter Novice Flyers travelled to Parkhill Sat-
urday and came away with a 5-3 loss.
Jarrod Border opened the scoring for Parkhill with an unassisted
goal Tess than a minute into the contest
Exeter answered back when Kian MacDougall scored an unassist-
ed goal at 6:40 of the first.
Jonathan DeJong's unassisted goal two minutes later gave Parkhill
the lead back at 2-1, before Jason Miles scored with less than two
minutes left in the first to notch things at 2-2. •
The second period was scoreless but Parkhill scored three quick
goals in the third, by Daniel Knuist, Raymond Nernburg and Border,
before Peter Fragiskatos scored Exeter's last goal of the game from
Kurtis Armstrong, with 1:24 left on the clock.
Jeff Nernberg was the winning Parkhill goalie.
Exeter's record drops to 1-6-1 in the season.

Association Hiram Walker Special
Old League Executives three game
qualifying round will take place
this week. Winners will advance
to the Hiram Walker Special Old
Ontario Championships January
27.
House rolloffs for the OV Sun
Bowl tournament will be starting
shortly. Only bowlers with 210 -
and -under averages can participate
in the three -game, pins -over -
average format. Winners will ad-
vance to the OV Sun Bowl zone
round on February 4.
Patti -Ann Dickert's 805 triple,
including 252, 290 and 263 single
games, paced Zurich Number One
ladies team to a 23-7 win at Lucan
Saturday.
Marilyn Bengough's 657 (303),
Jean Dann's 643, Marlene Bed-
ard's 619 and Tracy Fisher's 606
triples added to the win. Zurich
outscored Lucan 3,806-3,756 de-
spite Audrey Watt's 750 triple.
Zurich Intertown men's team
lost 38-10 to Stratford Mikes
Lanes in Stratford Saturday.
Top five game scores for Zurich
were Luke Mommersteeg's 1,161,
Ron Dann's 1,143 and Vic Gal-
lagher Srs. 1,076. Larry Schoo-
ley's 1,338 and Ron Jefferies' 1,186
scores paced Stratford.
The Grand Bend Seniors are now
bowling every Monday morning at
.9:30 a.m. at Zurich Town and
Country lanes. All members are in-
vited to participate in this enjoyable
exercise. Call Ron Dann at 238-
5127 for details.
Crunchers win, tie
EXETER - The Exeter Novice Panthers won once and tied once in
a pair of Lambton-Middlbsex Hockey League games last week.
The locals played Thcdford 1 to a 1-1 tie and blanked Mt. Brydges
by a 3-0 count.
Michael Wilhelm scored the only Exeter goal at 7:14 of the first,
out Thedford managed to get on the board with one second remain-
ing in the first. Greg Dalgity scored for Thcdford from Jon Wolfe.
The rest of the game was scoreless but both teams played very
well.
Against Mt. Brydges, Exeter got all the goals they would need in
the middle period.
Michael Seip scored the first goal from Mark Bilinsky, Wilhelm
accounted for the second goal from Justin Miners, and Craig Over-
holt had the third goal from Seip, with 2:11 left in the second.
Tony Eagleson earned the shutout for Exeter, but he got help from
his defencemen Ryan Ralph, David Overholt, Mark Shepley and Bi-
linksy.
