On Wednesday they travelled to Blyth and came home with a 7-2 victory. John Rutten was the top shoot- er with three goals and one as- sist, Jeff Glavin had two goals and three assists and Derek Sweitzer had two goals. Single assists went to Darryl Parsons, Tim Morgan, Kurt Milts and Matt Glavin. Jason Glavin was in goal for the victory. Their record is now three wins and one tie, they trav- el to Zurich this Wednesday and host Brussels on Saturday. It was Stephen's first loss of the year as their league record drops to 3-1. Clinton scored twice in the first period. David Hiltz connected for Win for Novice HENSALL - Hensall Novice played Clinton on Wednesday, November 15 and won with a score of 7-0. Paul Cooper scored two goals, and a single apiece for each of Jimmie Seaton, Jacob Bruxer, Jeff Campbell, Jonathan Keys and Ryan Munn. A shutout was recorded for Hensall's goalie. After a scoreless period, Rutledge gave Clinton a 3-0 lead on a goal early in the third that was assisted by Bell. Chris Regier managed Stephen Township's only goal of the game later in the third, with assists going to Richie Dobson, and Pres Levier, ruining the Clinton netminder's shutout bid. Stephen's players seemed a bit in- timidated by the size of some of the Clinton players` and the result showed on the scoreboard. Times -Advocate, November 22, 1989 Page 19 Atom Bells ring up pair of wins EXETER - The Exeter Atom Bells won both games played last week to extend their Lambton-Middlesex Hockey League unbeaten streak to seven games. - Exeter defeated Forest B2 6-2 in league play and blanked Seaforth 2-0 in an exhibition contest. Against Forest, each team tallied once in the opening period. Mark Parsons scored Exeter's first goal from Ryan Soldan at 5:45 of the fust. Forest' got on the board less than a minute after Exeter's goal. Ryan Freiter scored twice -in the second for the winners. Both goals were unassisted, one six seconds into the period and the sec- ond at 4:30. Soldan took over in the third and scored three straight times for a • natural hat trick. His first goal was at 30 seconds of the third, from Shawn Simpson. The second came unassisted at 2:03 and Soldan completed the hat trick at 4:36 from Todd Baker and Mark Parsons. In the exhibition game against Seaforth, Exeter got the only two goals it would need early in the game. Bryon Ellerington scored on the fust shot of tho game for the win- ners, seven seconds into the contest.
