Midget Generals defeat Lucan 6-4
EXETER - The Exeter Midget
Generals Hockey team built a 4-0
lead and hung on for a 6-4 win over
Lucan last Wednesday night at the
SHRC.
. David Schwindt connected for
the first two Exeter goals, six min-
utes apart, one unassisted and one
from Jeff Burton, while Joel Camp-
bell scored from Jim Ahrens to give
Exeter a 3-0 lead after one period.
Campbell's goal, from Todd
McCann, two minutes into the sec-
ond period, gave Exeter a 4-0 lead.

Lincoln Hawk Bantams beat Watford
WATFORD - Exeter Lincolns
travelled to Watford last Monday to
play. Both teams played a very
strong checking and offensive
game.Both goaltenders exhibited
very strong play.
Dave Stephens coming up very
strong for Lincoln. Unable to score
the game completed remained a
scoreless tie after 40 minutes of
play.
Eeter Lincoln Hawks Bantams
hosted Forest at home in Exeter on
Sunday.
Lincolns opened the scoring by
Jason MacNeil with assist by Tom
Armstrong.
Exeter scored again on a nice
passing play from MacNeil and
Thompson. Al McFalls found the
mark making it 2-0.

The bowling season is underway.
There have been some excellent
games bowled. Audrey Watt had a
terrific day with 292, 306, and 299
for a triple score of 897 (oh for
those three missing points!).
Beulah Storey rolled a 393 - great
game!
The High -Low Doubles competi-
tion is underway with many cou-
ples already eliminated but others
still hanging in there. Keep beating
those 'averages! The sponsor for
this tournament is Hiram Walkers.
Next Sunday November 26, the
Executive Bowl sponsored also by
Hiram Walkers gives the hard
working presidents, secretaries and
treasurers of all the leagues a
chance to show thcir stuff.
December 3 and 10 are the days
for the opening round of the Pro-
vincial Champs, OV Open Bowl-
ing. Come on out and give it a try.
Who knows, you might be Onta-
rio's next champ. It's certainly fun
trying. Enquire at Lucan Lanes if
you are interested in this challenge.

Ilderton
ILDERTON - The Exeter Novice
Bombers extended their unbeaten
streak to seven games with a 5-0
whitewash of Ilderton Saturday af-
ternoon at the Ilderton Arcna.
The win improves Exeter record
to 4-0-3.
The game was scoreless until Ja-
son Grenicr popped his first of two
from Chris Frayne early in the sec-
ond period.
Exeter exploded four times in the
final frame to put the game away.
Grenier got his second from An-
drew Frieter early in the third.
Then, Wayne Cole scored two
straight unassisted goals and Rob-
bie McIntosh completed the scoring
with an unassisted goal of his own.
Bob Hamilton, who filled in be-
tween the pipes for Ryan Sullivan,
recorded the shutout in his first-
ever game in goal.

Forest scored twice to tie up the
game in second period.
Exeter scored two times in three.
Brad Thompson from Al McFalls.
Final goal of the game came from
Derrick Campbell from Kevin
Johns to Mark. Dietz. Very strong
play by all team members. Exeter
won 4-2.
in the third and scored the next
three goals to make it a close game.
For Lucan, Paul O'Shea scored
from Steve Nixon 14 seconds into
the third, Todd Hyde scored from
Scott Amos at 2:55 and Steve Snid-
er scored from O'Shea and Derek
Greenlee at 4:40.
But Exeter got one back about a
minute later when Schwindt com-
pleted his hat trick with an unassist-
ed goal.
Hyde's second goal of the game,
unassisted, at 6:21- of the third
made it a 5-4 game but McCann

ruined any chances of another Lu -
can comeback when he scored at
12:18 to complete the scoring.
Exeter took on St. Marys Novem-
ber 8 but came away with a disap-
pointing 6-0 loss.
St. Marys got two goals from
Sean Cassidy and singles went to
Rick Martin, Greg Bottridge, Dan
Ryan and Ray Cousineau.
Next game for Exeter is Wednes-
day, tonight, when Parkhill will be
at the Rec Centre for a 9 p.m. con-
test.
