Exeter UCW Christmas
EXETER - Saturday, November
11 saw Exeter United Church _beau-
tifully decoratedwith the Christmas
theme in readiness for the crowds
who attended the Country Christ-
mas Bazaar. Baking, •sewing, knit-
ting, plants, jams, crafts of all
kinds, and lunch disappeared as the
day evolved.
The U.C.W. realized an income
of over $3500 when the bazaar
rolled to an end. Many thanks to all
who contributed items to be sold,
those who worked, and those who
purchased to contribute to the
event's success.
"Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I love
ya, tomorrow!" That was the mes-
sage throughout the service on Sun-
day, November 12. With the aid of
a "worrywart" picture, Rev. Rick
Hawley invited the children to put
their trust in God rather than worry
about things that "might" happen.
The Biblp readings and sermon
elaborated on this theme, and was
bazaar raises more than $3,500
very aptly summed up in the words
of "Annie" from the Broadway mu-
sical as sung by Linda Snell, ac-
c6mpanied on the piaato by her fa-
ther Peter.
The congregation was treated to a
solo by Mary Lou Dixon during the
choir's anthem "Is There Anyone
Here?" The talented musical perfor-
mances of Mary. Lou, the choir,
Linda, and Peter were very much
enjoyed annd appreciated.
