Two bazaars in Zurich 'this Saturday By Carmel Sweeney ZURICH - The annual St. Boni- face Bazaar, Bake Sale and Tea is still scheduled for this Saturday and will be held at the Catholic School starting at. 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. There will be something for Just about everyone, including a fish pond game for the youngsters. Anyone can stay for lunch since there will be hot dogs and other re- freshments on sale. Another bazaar is also scheduled for Saturday at the Hay Township Hall, sponsored by the Bean Sprout Nursery School. It starts at 10 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m. Everyone is invited. Story Hour Helene Ducharme, Zurich Librar- ian, says it is a pleasure to see so many enthusiastic pre-schoolers at- tend the story hours presented at the library every other week. Thir- ty-one children make up the two groups who meet on Thursdays. This week, the little ones are get- ting a look at themselves because the theme for the hour is "me". Video records The Royal Canadian Legion are once again sponsoring their Child Video Identification Program, pro- viding a permanent record of each child enrolled at the local schools. In the event a child goes missing, the tape can be used for helping find and identify the youngster. The Legion will be videotaping all kindergarten students and those who need their tapes updated. Bingo Winners at last week's Zurich bingo were Bev Bell from Hensall, who got the $1,000 jackpot, and El- sie McDonald of Exeter won the $325 mystery prize. Ugh/weight Mends - Not everyone at Zurich Public School is a dummy...but some are. Heather Beck- er, Melissa Pergel, and Ryan Desch were among those grade 5-6 students who made these Hallowe'en dummies to decorate the hallways of their school for the season. They were also on display for the school's open house on Thursday. - B iface creepshow The tiext bingo is scheduled for November 9. Scouts The Zurich Scouts will have a booth set up at Seyler's Foodland on Sawrday November 11 to sell hot dogs. However, they will also be accepting any good cloth- ing peoplewould like donate and pass on to the Good Will In- dustries for needy families, Golden Agers The Golden Agers Club are hold- ing a euchre party on November 13 at 8 p.m. at the Hay Township Hall and they are welcomingeveryone to join in the competition. Personab A large crowd attended the buck and doe far Joey Groot and Patty Regier held at the Pineridge Chalet on Sattuday. Robert Oud and Barbara Sargon were married at the Mt. Carmel Church on Saturday. Twelve women from the St. Boni- face parish -attended the CWL Deanery meeting in Hesson last Wednesday. The grade seven students from St. Boniface School visited the Mu- seum of Indian Archaeology on Wonderland Road in -London. The trip fits in with the classes studies on Indian cultures in their history lessons. Best wishes for a speedy recovery go to Chuck Erb who is in St. Jo- seph's Hospital. Tour guide - Father Peter Hayes (the one with the teeth) welcomes another group into the St. Boniface Haunted House.
