O.A.T.M.R. Conference
at Oakwood Inn Lucan Seniors
We are having a drive to collect
good children's clothing; one of our
members has a brother in the mis-
sions in Chile and two of our pa-
rishioners are going down there on
holiday and have offered to take
two suitcases to the poor children
there.
The bus trip on October 11 was
enjoyed by all. The Ford Museum
has something for everyone, but the
excellent quilt display of Susan
McCord Quilts was the highlight of
the trip for most.

hear about 'Colours'
Guest speaker Vicki Morrison of
Lucknow was introduced by her
grandmother Dorothy Bell. Vicki
spoke about colours and mentioned
that people are either cool or warm,
and are therefore classified as win-
ter or summer, spring or fall col-
ourings. We were surprised to learn
that the average woman is 5 ft. 4",
32 years old and weighs 142 lbs.!!
Ruby Triebner was tested for her
cok urs and proved to be a winter.
Mona Alderdice turned out to be a
spring person. Vicki also men-
tioned about types of clothes to
wear to flatter the figure and dis-
guise defects. In closing she men-
tioned "Looking your best means
never having to make • excuses
about your appearance, especially
to yourself."
As is usual in our meetings we
closed with a cup of tea and lunch,
served by Ruby Triebner and Rena
Caldwell.
Next month on November 15
will be our cultural activities ni*ht
at the home of Mona Alderdice
when Leo Krahn the pharmacist at
Big V will be answering questions
we need to know answers about re-
garding pharmacy.
Remember "If you can't be bilg,
don't belittle". Submitted by Public
