Upon opening the front page of
both papers I realized the change
in lifestyle may be more than I
am prepared to accept.
May I suggest your paper could
benefit from a more up-to-date
special like the one printed in the
Toronto Sun, possibly calling it
Beckeu's Babes' or "Adri-
an's Angels" or "Proctor's Play-
mates" to replace the present
T.A. feature that could easily be
titled "Haugh's Horrors" or "Re-
ynolds Rejects".
Your circulation would no
doubt increase and my adjust-
ment would be made much easi-
er.
Sincerely,
"An Avid Reader"
(Charles E. Brown).

ed the accompanying pictures to
point out his need for adjustment.

CCAT revises curriculum
CENTRALIA - The curriculum
of the Agricultural Business Man-
agement (ABM) program at Cen-
tralia College has been revised to
meet the needs of students and agri-
business employers. The course
now includes more hands-on train-
ing to help students to better under-
stand the concepts and their appli-
cation in a real life situation.
These changes resulted from rec-
ommendations made by graduates
in a survey conducted in 1988. The
survey asked graduates of the ABM
program to identify how they would
change the curriculum to improve
the graduates marketability in the
agri-business work force. Graduates
suggested increasing the amount of
hands-on training whenever possi-
ble while still covering necessary
theory. They also gave suggestions
for improving teaching methods.

ABM faculty and staff met sever-
al times this past spring and dis-
cussed how they would accommo-
date an increase in hands-on
training in an already heavy course
load. The revised curriculum result-
ed from these extensive meetings
and includes a number of changes
in both the first and second year of
the program.
Some of the changes are: a de-
creased course load in first year
which allows students time to ad-
just to their new environments; in-
creased hands-on practical training
throughout the 2 -year program via
more laboratory and field trip peri-
ods; a chancents to receive
an elective c or their summer
work experience between first and
second year.
The first few weeks of classes in
following the new curriculum have
met with positive responses from
the students. The curriculum will
be monitored closely throughout
the year and will be reviewed again
next spring for evaluation.
