we certainly enjoyed the sale.
The Kitchen girls prepared a love-
ly Thanksgiving Dinner of turkey
and all the trimmings and home-
made pumpkin pie. Everyone en-

to the girls for all their hard work.

HURONDALE - Our first 4-H
meeting was Tuesday, October 3. It
took place at Marilyn Pym's home.

impressed upon her audience the
need to eat fresh foods rather than

Exeter 4-H meets
EXETER - The first meeting of
the Exeter 4-H club on Good Food,
Fast was held on October 9. Only
one member was absent.
We decided on our executive:
president Terri Snell, v/p Tracy
Snell, secretary Amy Walper, and
press reporter Kristy Ahrens.
Terri opened the meeting with
the 4-H pledge. We continued by
reading through the chapter on
meeting one. We did some activi-
ties on food, and some homework
for the next meeting. We were all
given recipe booklets and told to
make one of the recipes under
meeting one.
After that, we sampled some of
the recipes that our leaders Norma
Cockwill and Lia Snell had pre-
pared, which were Party Popcorn
and Apple Spice muffins.
Other 4-H members of our group
are Erin Workman, Jody Hamilton
and Cristy McInnes.
on the piano. Last week Rev. Stoj-
kovic of the Dashwood Lutheran
Church conducted our worship ser-
vices. Mrs. Stojkovic accompanied
on the piano.
Several residents enjoyed a little
different sort of outing. We went to
McDonald's in Goderich for break-
fast. It was the first time that many
of us had eaten out for breakfast but
we really enjoyed it.
Get well wishes to Peter Regier,
Charlie Gage and Ray Francis. All
of these fellows are in hospital and
we wish them well.
Residents and staff send their
sympathy to the family and friends
of Ernie Appleton, Anna Hessner
and Edna Martin.
Thought for the week: The man
who has a right to boast doesn't
have to.
